The Sessions You Need to Attend at HCIC

The 2017 Healthcare Internet Conference (HCIC) will take place Oct. 23 through Oct. 25 in Austin, Texas at the JW Marriott.

The conference gives attendees the chance to learn about digital marketing solutions and new and established technologies. Attendees can hear from industry leaders, with at least 64 sessions to choose from about digital strategy, consumer engagement, technology, digital marketing, analytics, and usability.

Re-Imaging Marketing: The Journey toward Omni Channel Marketing and Beyond

When: Monday, Oct. 23 from 4 PM to 5:15 PM

Paul Matsen, chief marketing and communications officer at the Cleveland Clinic, will talk about the ways in which marketing leaders at the Cleveland Clinic work with the “patient experience, clinical and IT counterparts on solutions that drive specialty care volume and population health access while building the organizations’ brand.”

Healthcare is becoming consumer-focused in part because consumers are paying more out-of-pocket for their healthcare costs. Learn how to innovate your marketing strategy during this session.

Beyond HCAHPS: Leveraging Online Reviews to Transform the Patient Experience

When: Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM

There’s more to customer feedback than what is found in HCAHPS.

ReviewTrackers’ CEO Chris Campbell and Robert Prieto, web marketing manager for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, will discuss how online review management has helped them capture feedback and monitor their online reputation.

The team at Nicklaus knew that HCAHPS did not capture all possible feedback and sought our online reviews as way to get more data on their patient experience. In addition, the team at Nicklaus found that online reviews are also a way for all members of a patient’s family to leave feedback.

Listen as Erika Smith, director of marketing for Stanford Children’s Hospital, discusses how a pediatric hospital attracted fans, generated referrals, and amplified brand awareness with engaging online content. Smith will be joined by Dr. Peter Alperin, vice president and general manager, hospital solutions, Doximity.

Using Social Command Centers and Digital Newsrooms to Drive Content Strategy

When: Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Jennifer Balanky, manager of digital content at Sharp HealthCare and Pam Hardy, managing editor, Sharp Health News, Sharp HealthCare, discuss how Sharp HealthCare uses the Customer and Media Engagement Center and digital newsroom with goals to manage reputation, minimize risk of negative reviews, heighten brand awareness, and grow brand preference.
