Welcome to Customer Insights, a weekly digest of the most important stories about online reviews, customer feedback, and customer experience. This week: A new report about fan experience from ReviewTrackers reveals that AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, has the top-rated hot dog.

Which Stadium Makes the Best Hot Dog in Baseball?

When a fan walks into a stadium, they expect an experience. And a hot dog.

AT&T Park in San Francisco has the top-rated hot dog out of all of the Major League Baseball stadiums, according to our new research about fan experience. Why? Because the park offers a variety of different hot dogs from fancy, bacon-wrapped hot dogs to the most basic ones.

The hot dog is the food item that’s chatted about the most among baseball fans, according to the research. But barbecue has the highest sentiment rating among fans.

We used our natural language understanding algorithm to analyze the sentiment in more than 130,000 reviews, with the goal of achieving a better understanding of the fan experience. One highlight from the research is that overall fan sentiment at baseball stadiums has increased 17 percent over the last seven years.

Why does this research matter? Baseball games are becoming about more than watching baseball. A fan expects good food and drinks, nice facilities, a nice family outing, and an experience that meets their expectations.

I love going to a MLB game. One of the best parts of going to the ballpark is the food. I love that AT&T stadium gives customers a wide variety of options when choosing their hotdogs. You can’t beat a good stadium hotdog and there are so many MLB stadiums today you have to make your facility stand out. They have done a great job and I would love to go try one sometime
