What’s up, SF?
We’re happy to announce that ReviewTrackers is going to be right in the middle of one of the world’s best startup conferences: the Launch Festival (hashtag #LAUNCH2013), which starts today at the San Francisco Design Center and runs until March 6.
Led by CEO and founder Chris Campbell, our team is set to participate in the conference’s Demo Pit, a competition for existing companies that have already launched. We’re showing off our online review monitoring platform to the largest live audience in tech (about 5,000 attendees and 3,000 more people in the audience), and demonstrating the proprietary data collection technology that powers ReviewTrackers.
Needless to say, we’re thrilled to be part of this important industry event. As a must-attend event for tech founders, the Launch Festival gathers a worldwide community of passionate entrepreneurs, developers, tech executives, investors, and media members. It’s also one of the best places for startup companies to launch, raise money, and learn from industry veterans and opinion leaders.
At last year’s Launch Festival, a total of $1.4 million were invested by angels, accelerators, and venture capitalists in companies that participated in the event. This 2013, a total of $2 million is expected to be at stake.
#LAUNCH2013 is presented by the Social+Capital Partnership, MailChimp, WSGR, and Bing. Apart from the Demo Pit, other highly anticipated activities include: welcome remarks by San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee, the Hackathon Finals, panel sessions featuring venture capitalists, a fireside chat with Social+Capital Partnership managing director Chamath Palihapitiya, and a keynote presentation by Twitter co-founder Evan Williams. There’s also the Treehouse Technology Skills Stage, an event in which participants can learn from industry experts about things like improving UI/UX, raising an angel round, succeeding in app stores, and more. (We’re also pretty pumped about the parties.)
Are you going to be at the Launch Festival? Don’t forget to say hello to the friendly ReviewTrackers team. (We promise we won’t bite.) You can also follow updates by monitoring the #LAUNCH2013 tag on our blog or searching #LAUNCH2013 on Twitter.
