How to Claim Your Business on Insider Pages

Insider Pages, an online local search service that was founded in 2004, aims to give users “recommendations for things that matter most.” These recommendations cover a variety of local businesses – including those involving health and medical services, home and garden, hair and beauty, auto services, and even pets. Insider Pages has grown well enough for us to be able to consider it as one of the review sites your business should know about – and so if you haven’t yet claimed your business listing on it, we recommend that you do so as soon as you can.

Here’s a guide to help you get started:

(Stay tuned for more guides by regularly checking in on the ReviewTrackers blog. To see all how-to guides published so far, just click on the how-to tag.)

Step 1: Go to Insider Pages and search for your business by business name and zip code.

Step 2: If your business is already listed, you’ll find it in the search results that appear. If it hasn’t been listed, you have the option (via a button below) of adding a new business to Insider Pages.

Step 3: Before adding your business, you’ll be prompted to sign up for Insider Pages, or, if you’re already a registered user, log in.

Step 4: Fill in the required information to add a new business. Once the form has been filled out, press submit and proceed to the next page.

Step 5: Fill in additional information. You can add data like categories, tags, company info, message to customers, pictures, operating hours, special offers, and review responses to your listing. Once done, you have to wait up to 48 hours for your listing to be verified and added to the Insider Pages search results.

To edit your business information, sign in to your account and click my businesses at the top right of the page. You will need to have already claimed your business to have access to it to make any revisions.

Click View/Update Business Profile for the business you wish to edit.

On this page you will have access to do many things, including:

      • updating your business information
      • adding or changing your business categories
      • managing your photos
      • updating your business address, phone number and business hours
      • creating a coupon
      • responding to reviews left on your business listing
      • When you are done making your updates click update business.

We have repeatedly tried to correct the telephone number by completing the form and “updating business” but it doesn’t take. Please advise.

Hey Steve, best advise is to claim your profile via Insider Pages (or Citygrid – owner of IP) this will allow you to edit the profile as needed. Good Luck.

    Hello,
I have signed up/created an account and wanted to claim our business listing. However, our business listing does not exist on insiderpages. And there is no “add business” option once I have logged into my account and have “searched” it. I have read the insiderpages FAQ section, but it doesn’t list answers pertaining to this specific problem. Our business lists on other directories, such as citygrid, citysearch, expressupdateusa, and all the others listed on FAQ.
Is there another solution? I can’t find a customer service # or email….
