Online travel reviews aggregator TripAdvisor is making moves to further enrich its user experience.

In a series of recent deals, the company acquired Massachusetts-based Vacation Home Rentals, European restaurant reservation service LaFourchette, and London-based travel community Tripbod.

The Vacation Home Rentals deal enables TripAdvisor to feature the former’s 14,000-plus properties around the world. This makes it a total of over 550,000 rental properties featured on TripAdvisor, a number boosted by a similar move made by the travel site last year, when it acquired Spain-based vacation rentals site Niumba.

The LaFourchette deal, meanwhile, allows TripAdvisor to leverage the popularity of France’s version of OpenTable. The Paris-headquartered restaurant reservations service – which offers an online and mobile reservation platform – has a 12,000-strong network of restaurants in France, Spain, and Switzerland.

Lastly, the Tripbod deal gives TripAdvisor a popular travel community where travelers can connect with trusted and vetted locals in order to create a perfect handcrafted trip. With Tripbod, travelers can take advantage of local recommendations based on their interests and likes, with the help of locals who are matched to a user’s profile.
